Summer is not over yet, as the warm weather stays around bit of October here usually! However, I am already all set for fall! All these years summer had been my season, but this is the first year I have spent the summer without air condition. Those of you that post memes about how summer has come and gone in a blink of an eye – try to spend few of the summer days next year without AC! It will change you!

Most races are wrapping up their season. San Diego InMotion events pretty much are over with the AFC in August!. I wanted to list five of my favorite races to look forward to – for this fall and winter season!

Sep 21, 2019 – Surfcity 10

I have run Surfcity 10k couple of times. Its a perfect fall race, and the weather is not as hot. This year they changed it around so the race is in the evening – at sun down! Everything you would expect to see – at the surfcity races. Iconic surfboard medals and blings! If you run the Surfcity half /marathons in February this route might get boring, but if you are local here its just another reason to get out and run!

Oct 13 2019 – Long Beach Marathon/Half Marathon

This is one of my goal races this year. I am trying to run a better time. I have had my behind handed to me few times on this course. It gets super hot on this course, and last few times I ran it has been a struggle. But with lot of prayers and practice, I want to come back here and see what I can do!

Nov 28, 2019 – Dana Point Turkey Trot

This is an iconic race. This is their 42nd year. I have run this one year, but its too early to get up on a long weekend for me. It really gets competitive on the course, as most running clubs around OC target this race as their club race. The medals are cute. Course is challenging and fun! Head on out if Thanks giving running is your thing! For me, I am gonna skip it this year as I already used up my funds for the races for 2019!

Dec 21, 2019 – San Diego Holiday Half

There is nothing like a downhill race to boost your ego and get you upto 4 to 6 minute PR. You know its not real, but hey holiday needs some encouragement and an easier run on a all down hill course, during the coldest day! I love running this race, even tho I know the time I run is unrealistic on any othercourses. The swag is something you will write home about. Nice winter long sleeve shirts and an even more amazing medal makes this worth a trip to get all the way up this way!

Dec 21, 2019 – Renegade Santa Run

This is my home town race. I live in Irvine and most of my week I hardly ever get out of 92618 zip code! My home, work, Trader Joes, Whole Foods and Costco are all in like 4 mile radius all within the 92618 I hardly ever leave this place. I love this race even more coz its almost down the street!
