Countdown to Irvine Lexus Laceup 5k/10k (Sep 3, Saturday)

Lexus Laceup race here in Irvine takes place on September 3rd – Saturday. This event has a 5k, 10k, marathon relay with 2 to 5 people. Chip timed.  Flat course. Finisher medals. Age group awards. Everything an average person would expect out of a good race, along with beer ticket, tech t-shirt and food truck brunch. The event takes place at Irvine’s Mike Ward community park.

My BF won a free 5k/10k entry through Laguna Hills Adventure Run Raffles so I have been looking forward to this race for a while. Also the fact that it’s here in Irvine which will be refreshing as the last few races had been around LA and San Diego.

As a last minute change, I have signed up to do the marathon relay with my BF and 3 of my friends. Our friend Lisa Rivera is doing the 10k using our free raffle entry. I couldn’t have asked for a better weekend than running with all my friends. We each will be doing 5.24 miles rounding to a 26.2. The race starts at 6.45.

Registration is still open and I believe you could sign up on the day of the event as this race hasn’t been sold out yet.

  1. 5k is $40
  2. 10k is $60
  3. Marathon relay $300
  4. They also have a kids 1k for 15$s.

Use code LACEUPALBERTO for 30% off. Register here. (You won’t be able to use the discount code if you sign up in person on the day of the race. )

This race is series of 4 other races but Irvine is the only one I am doing. You can check out their website for other race details.

If you are doing the race let me know!!

Thanks for reading.
